In most casino games of blackjack, the house advantage (the dealer advantage) is ~ 8%. The house gets this advantage by the dealer being the last player to act. By acting last, all other players have already made their decisions and could quite possibly bust before the dealer has his turn.

By using correct blackjack basic strategy, you can turn the casino edge in blackjack from 7%-8% down to 0.5%. If you correctly use advanced card counting techniques, you can often change blackjack odds and give yourself the advantage over the casino. Manipulating the house odds to your favor is the reason most casinos don't allow card counters to play blackjack.

The Delaware Blue Hens and the Hofstra Pride meet in a CAA conference tournament quarterfinal in college basketball action from the Atlantic Union Bank Center on Sunday.

The Delaware Blue Hens come into the tournament as the #5 seed after finishing conference play at 5-4 as part of a 7-7 overall record this season. Ryan Allen leads the Blue Hens in scoring with 15.4 PPG as well as logging a team-high 2.8 APG while Dylan Painter has 13.4 PPG with a team-high 11.6 RPG to lead the Blue Hens in rebounding and to average a double-double per game. Kevin Anderson has 11.4 PPG and 2.8 APG of his own to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Delaware up to this point in the season. As a team, Delaware is averaging 67 PPG on 44.5% shooting from the field and 33% from three while allowing 66.4 PPG on 41.7% shooting from the field and 33.7% from three this season.

The Hofstra Pride enter as the #4 seed, finishing the year with an 8-6 conference record as part of a 12-9 overall mark. Jalen Ray leads the Pride in scoring with 18.6 PPG along with 3.4 APG while Tareq Coburn has 15.8 PPG with 4.1 RPG and Isaac Kante has 13 PPG with a team-high 10.1 RPG to lead the Pride in rebounding and to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for Hofstra by logging a double-double per game this season. Kvonn Cramer has 9.3 PPG with 6.6 RPG and Caleb Burgess has 7.8 PPG with a team-high 5.6 APG as well this season. As a team, Hofstra is averaging 73.4 PPG on 44.4% shooting from the field and 32.8% from three while allowing 72.8 PPG on 45.3% shooting from the field and 33.3% from three this season.

Delaware is 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 Sunday games and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 neutral site games while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record. Hofstra is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games overall while the over is 6-1 in their last 7 games overall. The underdog is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings between these two teams.

Both teams have had their ups and downs and Delaware comes into this one in finer from, but wins over Elon don’t do a whole lot for me right now coming into this one. Hofstra played James Madison who was the best in the Colonial this season, so those losses are forgivable, and the Pride are still scoring almost 80 PPG in their last 5 games. I just don’t think that Delaware has the horses to keep pace with Hofstra here, so I’ll lay the points with Hofstra in this one.
